Why the BMW NEXT Navi Update is useful
To ensure reliable navigation and up-to-date traffic information, it is important to keep your BMW navigation system up to date at all times. Current maps for accurate and modern navigation. New roads, location changes, and routes are available immediately. More stable functionality and better orientation on every trip.
Which update fits my BMW?
Check your current navigation version directly in the vehicle. If WAY, EVO, LIVE, JOY, West, Next, MOTION, MOVE, PREMIUM, or USB is displayed there, the corresponding update is the right one. If your version is EVO – then only EVO will work. Every BMW navigation system is permanently assigned to a version; other versions are not compatible.
We offer BMW Navi updates for all vehicles. Simply contact us with your VIN directly via WhatsApp – we will help you find the right update for your vehicle.
Frequently Asked Questions – BMW NEXT Map Update 2025
How do I find out if my BMW has the NEXT navigation system?
In your vehicle, go to: Navigation → Map → Settings → Version Information. If it says “NEXT”, this update is compatible. If in doubt, simply send your VIN – we will check it for free.
What is the difference between NEXT and EVO?
NEXT is for older BMW models (approx. 2012–2016) with the NBT navigation system, while EVO is for newer models with NBT EVO. They are not compatible with each other – every vehicle has exactly one permanently assigned system.
What is an FSC code?
The FSC code is a vehicle-specific activation key from BMW generated using your VIN. Without this code, the BMW map update cannot be unlocked. It is permanently valid – even for future NEXT updates.
How long does the installation take?
Between 30 and 90 minutes. The ignition must be switched on – the vehicle does not need to be running.
What happens if I buy the wrong update?
The navigation system automatically detects whether the update is compatible. An incorrect update cannot be installed and will not cause any damage. Send us your VIN – we will check it for free.
How quickly will I receive the download link?
Usually within a few hours after payment is received and the VIN has been verified, via email.
